The booking process
How do we book?
Once you have selected which deployment trip you want to join, please fill in the form and we will be in touch via E-mail or WhatsApp. We request a copy of your passport and the payment so we can book the flights. We will then send these over to you along with the disclaimer and guidelines you may need. We arrange several zoom calls leading up to the trip to keep you updated and answer any enquiries you may have.
Do we have to book our own flights and travel?
No. We take full responsibility when it comes to booking these. We will pick the airport that is the most convenient for you, but we will book everything and send you the details and documents required via email or WhatsApp.
Do I need to do anything in regard to the booking process?
You will be responsible for obtaining your own travel insurance.
Our team can advise you on the best options available.
Travel and Accommodation
Do we pay for our own travel and accommodation?
Yes. As we are a 100% donation policy you will be paying for your own flights and accommodation. This ensures all donations collected can be distributed towards the needy.
What airport do we fly from?
We will assess what airport is most convenient for you based on location. We will also try and ensure that you are travelling in groups to maximise safety. We will confirm the airport location with you before booking your flights. Location can also depend on the availability of the flights. We travel from all UK airports, ranging from Glasgow to London.
What is the luggage allowance?
The luggage allowance is usually one 20kg suitcase and one hand luggage per person. This is subject to change depending on the flight/airline we book with.
Where will we be staying during our deployment?
You will be residing in hotels depending on the country/area in which we are working in. There may be different locations but this will all be covered in the initial cost and will be included in the itinerary/ information pack.
Do we have single or shared rooms?
Both options are available. There may be extra costs for a single room. The initial cost you will be given is based off 2 people sharing a twin room. If you require a single room there will be an additional cost of approximately £30 per night.
Fundraising & Funds
Is there a fundraising target?
We do not enforce any fundraising targets. The amount you raise will not impact your deployment trip and you will be eligible to attend the dates you have selected. We encourage you to fundraise as much as you can and we will advise on how to do this in the best manner if required. The more funds that are raised, the more people we can help Inshallah.
How are the funds distributed?
We decide on which projects to support financially depending on the need of the people. Some examples of what the funds can be used for are food boxes, hot meals, hygiene packs, medical assistance and general family support.
What is your donation policy?
We have a 100% donation policy. All funds raised, whether it be Zakat, Sadaqah or Lillah will be used solely to help those in need.
